Setting up fox susp. for straight line - 11-30-03, 04:37 PM

What is a great drag setup for a fox, like the brand of parts you would use from a kmember, a arms, coilovers to the upper/lower control arms?

I have the UPR front kit and really like it, everything went together smooth and square, the PA Racing kit is also very, very nice and offers a little more clearance. Depending on the weight of the car you'll end up with a 130-175 14" spring. I'd use a good adj strut the Strange pieces are nice for the price.

As far as rear susension goes, you have many choices, fpr uppers and lowers the UPR, Wolfe Racecraft, Metco's, or Steeda drag arms are hard to beat. You can go with a Poly bushing or Spherical bearing in the rear end housing. You'll also want some adj shocks and a Anti Roll bar, if your interested I have a brand new UPR unit for sale, retails for $329 I'm asking $275 shipped OBO, no reasonable offer refused.

I like the QA-1 stuff although it's a bit pricey compared to some of the other brands. I use Lakewood 90/10s up front, Eibach drag springs, and a QA-1 K-member with stock control arms. A coil over setup for the front is definately the way to go if you can swing the extra money. You can cut alot of weight out going with tubular control arms. In the rear I run Pro 3i lowers which are ok and adjustable uppers. The big deal in the rear is the Anti-roll bar. That's hands down the best suspension mod I made. Dropped my 60s from high 1.6s to mid 1.5s. I run the UPR just like Ricki has for sale. As far as shocks, I currently have the Strange adjustables in the rear which aren't the greatest. I didn't realize when I bought them but they're only adjustable on the rebound and not compression. I want to get a set of the QA-1s when I can swing it.
