Kenne Bell Tuning Question - 12-03-03, 05:33 PM

Im seriously thinking about buying either a 1500 or a 2200 for my 95 GT vert. This is for a daily driver. How hard are they to tune and keep tuned? I hear all of these horror stories about people never getting their cars to run right after super charging. I also like the idea of the flowzilla and the integral bypass. Would it be worth the extra cost -- if I have no plans to run that much horsepower?

Mine idles fine and drives around town like stock. Before I had the cam, you couldn't tell it had a KB, unless you looked or unless I got on it. A good tune is essential though.

Where did you get your car tuned? I've heard Kennedys Dynotune is great at tuning KBs, but I've heard a few bad things about their customer service. I plan on getting a KB in the coming months, and was wondeiring about a tune. I know Laroccas in great at tuning Vortechs, but I'm not sure about KBs.

Well since this was posted, we have become dealers for Superchips Custom Tuning (Jerry W., Chris Johnson and David Posea). My '95 Vert has one of our tunes on it - runs OK - see sig. I know KBs pretty good. Give me a holler at: dlasota@columbus.rr.com and check out our website.

So you do mail-order tunings?

We'd rather do it on a dyno, but we would do a mail order chip - especially for Kenne Bells.
