Mcleod BellHouse & 95 Clutch Fork HELP! - 12-04-03, 08:26 PM

Im using a Mcleod/FMS bellhousing in my 1989 5.0. The stock clutch fork wont work its to small, I was told the 94/95 Fork would work, I have the bellhousing bolted up and it seems to long. It looks like once the engine and the Tranny are repositioned the clutchfork will be mushed against the underbody.

Is anyone using the 94/95 Clutch fork does it work? Did you have to modify anything.

You are refering to the McLeod Steel Bell right? If so, I took my stock '93 fork, cut it in half about 3" from the cabled end, and added 0.75" of metal to it. It now is long enough to protrude past the fork opening in the bell and short enough not to hit the floorboard.
