Location of PCV valve on 2000 V6?

Newbie here (obviously). Can someone tell me where the heck the PCV valve is on my 2000 V6 coupe? The Haynes manual did not help me at all....Thanks!!

Driver's side valve cover. Look toward the front of the valve cover - you'll see a hose that goes from the valve cover to the upper intake. The PCV valve is in the valve cover (just pull the hose off). Good luck.

or keep them cus i dought any one here has completely disasembled ever nut and bolt wire and everything from their mustang and rebuilt it.....

Thanks Dan, I found it, and replaced it. My Haynes manual said it was on the passenger side of the valve cover.

Throw the Hayne's and the Chilton's Manuals both away.

Buy yourselves a Mustang Service Manual. These are the exact same manuals which the Ford mechanics have at the Ford service centers. You will find everything that you need in them.

I have one for my 91 Lincoln LSC and it comes in handy.

How much are the service manuals though? People just grab the Autozone literature because it's a nice reference on how to tear your car apart for a small amount of cash.

If it turns out to be a lot, I'd suggest going into the service bay and poke around your car, like I always do, while the mechanic is working on your car. Ask him, "Are these the service manuals for my car?" Then, "OMG! WTF is THAT!?!?!?" ****** and run!

Back on the subject, I was reading that there is the correct way, and the incorrect way of deleting the PCV. One way calls for just yanking the hose, plugging it up, and using breather valves. Another calls for valve cover replacement to prevent oil from being vented, and two other ways that involve a "bypass" system where you either insert a K&N fuel filter in the line, or use a "drip can" to catch the oil in.

The draw backs for the breathers, seems to be a nasty smell when cranking A/C not at max because "not max" draws in air from the engine bay, whereas max recycles the air. Valve cover replacement with the corrected baffles in place /should/ fix the problem, but is probably the most expensive way to go (BTW - why doesn't Ford offer up a free recall on this!?!?!), and the other two bypass systems - one I don't need another filter to worry about, or a damned can I gotta check all the time and dump out!

What do you all suggest on this topic as I'm planning on cleaning out my engine some day soon (injectors, MAF, etc.)?
