Orginal setup : P-1SC, With 3 core intercooler, 456 RWHP, 99FuelTank with Chicane Fuel Pump, 42LB Injectors, Stock bottom . Power Pipe. Seeing 12 LBs of Boost MAX.

Current setup: D-1SC, With 3 core intercooler, 548RWHP @ 6200 , 2003 fuel tank and dual pumps, 55LB injectors, Forged bottom w/Canton OilPan. Blower CAMS. Power Pipe. Hooker LTs.Soon to add ported lower intake. Seeing 15 LBs of Boost so far.

New stock fuel regulator corrected engine cut out issue at 6200 RPMS. Reg was broken. Will have new DYNO numbers soon. D-1SC is a beast, daily driver and a blast to drive. 6 Rib belt setup working fine, was thinking of going to 8 rib, but will stay at 6 for now. Love the sound of the blower.

Brother TAT is one tough dude running this D-1SC beast on a stock Bottom. Mucho Grande B@lls.

Yikes! As many threads as I've read of yours, I never realized you were running all that power on the stock engine.

Thanks for the great feedback. Another question..... So you like the Self Contained model vs. the regular (tap the pan) D1? I always hear mixed comments, but I will say I like the cleaner install and look (no lines everywhere) of the SC.
Also, you commented on the sound. So this blower is definitely noticeable? Me likey that thought.

Peeyellowstang, I am also running the 3.6 pulley and seeing 14 PSI , I will mostly see more now that I got my fuel issue fixed since I can run her past 6200RPMS consistently, I plan to DYNO soon.

Do you have a power pipe or not? I got one on my setup.

Great idea to forge her now.

Great feedback guys. I've just been a little nervous because I don't know that much about ProCharger, but after Tim (Cobra Killer) told me that it compares with the Novi 2000 (in terms of psi) and also informed me of the pretty substantial price savings vs. the Novi, it makes it difficult not to go for the D1. The D1 and 3 core intercooler is much les than the Novi and intercooler.
I just want to make sure the power will be there and I know what the Novi 2000 has done on other cars. My setup is there to make mucho power, so just need the right blower.
I do really like the idea of the ProCharger because few people are runing it. Like the idea of being a bit different. Thanks again for the replies.

Did you set any money aside for suspension mods and some slicks... you have a real nice setup on your motor, and like you said you should be making some serious power! With those 4.10s I would suspect that you will have a major traction problem.

Good luck, Ralph

Good Point..

I also got 4.10 gears, and you will need to run DRs on the street. Street tires just spin too easy. I am thinking of going to 3.55s or 3.73s in the future since launching this beast is a PITA, but I simply love the pull from a roll with 4.10s and this much power.

I also have:

Griggs Delrin Control Arm Bushings
Steeda Poly Diff Bushings
GKN Perf 1/2 shafts

Damn, your getting 14psi? best I could do was 12psi....I didn't have a power pipe on the old setup but I have a morpheus pipe waiting to go on the new one...I plan on running a 3.3" Reichard pulley....I will also be switching to an 8 rib setup...

edit: where did u pick up the 55lb fuel injectors...i dont' think my 42ers will cut it.

I am in the process of installing my D1SC and 3 core sheetmetal intercooler. I read all these posts with great interest since I have not yet started the car. I am also running a stock bottom end on a 01 cobra. I want this motor to last until next winter when I can afford to forge it. For that reason I got 4" pulley on mine supposed to make about 10lbs boost. But I dont know if it is going to work cause you can barely slide a piece of paper between the valve cover and S/C pulley. Also got a Pro-M univer and 42's to go with it. I have 4.10's to. I put them in a year or so ago before considering the supercharger. I have been told that I wont be able to keep it out of the ditch with the S/C installed. What do you guys think? I still have the stock 3.27 gear set. Also I got about $1000-$1500 left that I can afford to spend on her. I was considering an exhaust system as I am still running the stock stuff. What do you guys recommend. One thing though no flowmasters! I have had em before and they sound great but they are to annoying to drive around with. I want something not much louder than the stock mufflers. See I dont necessarily want to draw attention to myself just want to improve performance. Emission testing is not an issue for me so I could go with an off road h or x pipe. And I have had to custom make just about everything so far on this install. I tried to get one of those power pipes but I heard he went out of business. And ended up in jail for running a meth lab or something. Is there another place to get one of these. I was considering making my own. But I wanted to make it out of stainless steel. I found some material but the elbows and stuff are like $65-$90 each piece! and the tubing is $75 for 2 feet! Does any of this sound familiar? If so what did you do? There isn't much room left in the engine bay and some cutting/hacking will be necessary to make any kind of power pipe fit in there. Anyone got some tips for that or more importantly what not to do! And one more thing do any of you guys use a twEECer I would like to look at somebody elses tune to see if mine is similar.

You wont need a powerpipe with the D1SC - trust me. I have the 385 pulley and Im seeing 15lbs at 6500. You'll probaly see 12. If you're just starting out, might as well go with bigger injectors (55's). My 42's are maxed, and the payback is a lean condition at 6500. GEt a nice free-flowing exhaust. I recommend magna's or Borla XR-1. Both are quiet at idle, screaming at WOT.

I dont use Tweecer - but if I had the time to learn it, I would - I hear its awesome

peace

Add exhaust and power pipe now. I would add LTs when you get her forged, this is a good time since the engine is out. Too costly to add now.

What I did, I bought Bassani Xpipe and QT exhaust years ago, both with CATs, I had my botton rebuild this summer so I added Hooker LTs. No match for that X-Pipe and the LTs, I took the option to let the muffler guy cut and weld. All fits nicely. Think about what U might need to do as you buy the exhaust now, or just wait until next winter and do it then. I would just buy the exhaust now. Consider you LTs play since you want to do that at rebuild time. That is a must!

I also have a UNIVER Mixed emotions with it, but it is holding it own right now.

I have seen people make power pipes, the Morpheus is good pipe and the price was great. Look for one on ebay, since I think that guy will be making license plates now.

Like I said above 4.10s are a PITA to launch, but from a roll they are AWESOME!! My stang is a daily driver no major problems to drive her with 4.10s.
Just at the track it is a PITA to launch hence my decision to go solid axle early next year.

What Rear end Mods you have? If you like to drive straight and will spend time at the track. Forget pouring $$s into "trying" to make the IRS better. Go Solid.
If you keep the IRS you need to tighten that rear. Bushing, IRS brace, subs...etc

What clutch you running? Consider that too. I have used CENTERFORCE DF and now have a MCLEOD. Both are good , there are others like SPEC.

I tried to go with the TWEECER and bailed, so I am back to an autologic. I think the TWEECER needs some more cook time for the modular gang. IMO.
It did not work out for me, maybe a 99 thing. The concept is sweet, I will probably go back someday.

Good Luck to you.

I think you will be fine with the 4.10s. JimFitzgerald (screen name) has over 575 rwhp, with 4.10s, that runs mid 10s in the 1/4. Jim drives this car EVERY DAY here in Atlanta. You just have to be responsible and realize the power can easily get you into that "ditch" you referred to. Just keep it under control.

As for exhaust. I had the Bassani catted X and stainless steel UltraFlows on mine before I rebuilt the engine and totally changed the exhaust setup. Straight thru muffler design and sounds good, but not too loud. Comparisson muffler would be the Magnaflows.
