hey i want to get involved in road racing my car, and i wanted to know what a good suspension set up would involve. if you look at my sig. you can see what i have already, all i want to know is what else should i have to make my corner well and be balanced well, or what SHOULD i have gotten.
thanks Rick
Do a lot of reading at the Corral.net on their roadracing forum. This has been discussed a bunch, so search first, you probably won't have to start a new thread.
well from my personal experiance.. i woudl have to say, call www.griggsracing.com they have been very helpful in the setup and building of al my road race/ auto x cars
if you are talking about sanctioned racing,,, start with the rule book, and then deal with some of the companies like Maximum Motorsports, Griggs Racing in seeing what setup they would recommend for your class... the AI and AIX classes seem to be getting more popular. don't forget safety equipment, like roll cages and fire suppresion. Those seem to start adding lots of money to projects.

looks like your current setup is decent. 30lbers on that motor is too much, probably running rich killing some power, either turn the fuel pressure down to around 28 or put 24lbers on it. your suspension seems like a good place to start. brakes would be a good idea, like to cobra conversion kit. then a set of race tires would be next. but like stated above find a place or group you will run with and get the rule book to see what mods they allow in what class. most importantly get seat time. your car right now is ready for the track, sign up and go to 1 or 2, then plan your mods. but brakes and tires will be the best dollar spent.
