How are Drag Springs for normal Driving - 01-15-04, 01:45 PM

How are Drag Springs for normal Driving?

I understand they wont be great but is it horrible for daily driving?

I only drive the car 3 months outta the year so no big deal.

I've had mine on my street car for years now, most of them with no front swaybar. Treat it like a '76 Econoline in a turn, & there's no problem.

i've got a drag launch kit on my mustang and sway bar is off as well-i drive it every day in the summer-it works fine as long as your not trying to do any hard cornering/the kit didn't really do much to improve my performance at the strip over the 4 cyl. springs i had in before it

I've had the drag launch kit in for years, with 70/30's up front, no sway bar, etc, and it wasn't bad at all. Now I have coilovers, and I had to go to a pretty light spring just to get the same effect as the Eibachs. They worked pretty good. The only thing that I've done before that makes driving on the street suck is skinnies. You're breaking distance is so bad, it's just not worth it IMO. Most older stangs have shot springs and struts anyway, so it's almost like a drag suspension.

I have the coil overs on the car now with skinnies and it drives okay, but i take it easy on the corners and the braking time definately sucks. Ir you want the car to handle dont do it, but it works great when driving on the straight line. I like it.
