What is your favorite wax?

I just laid down the 2nd coating of Miguires. It is so slick you slide off of it. I've read posts of other wax routines, specifically ZAINO; is it better than Miguires? I'm really thinking more along the lines of removing the spare and AIR BRAKE, but I ALWAYS keep the Stang shining. Just curious what waxes you guys are using.

i like Mothers and meguires but my detail guy that has been taking care of my cars since i left has been using poorboys products, apparently high end detail stuff.

I use Duragloss wash and wax products and use Eagle One's "Wax As You Dry" in between and I'm satisfied with my results.

I think Meguiars Gold Class is nice stuff for the money. It's hard to tell on White, but here's some pics of the Gold Class on my previous True Blue...

Huge fan of Zaino. THen to get a really deep looking shine, I put some S100 over it. I got the idea from here...

Thanks for the great replies on 'the Wax' thread. I still have some Meguire's GC wax so went to the store looking for some of the other products I've been reading good things about. For under $30.00, I invested in Meguire's Gold Class Leather Wipes, NXT Tech Protectant and SIX terry cotton Applicator Pads.

The job went quickly, using NXT to clean every plastic, rubber and vinyl surface; IN, OUT and motor. I sprayed the applicator pad directly to avoid splotching on windows, seats, etc. The 'clean side' of the pad was excellent for buffing the shine out to a clean unblotched sheen.

The leather wipes were just as easy and quick, covering every leather surface with the wipes, and then buffing with a clean pad. Again, the buffed finish looked great. It was very easy to clean and coat the 'comfort weave' portions of the seats.

Do these two products attract dust?

I guess I'm about to find out.

those terry cloth pads have alot of bite...you should use these for polishing if you got scratches...try applying your wax/sealent with a meguirs yellow foam pad can be bought localy....if your terry cloth pads get any little spec of dirt on it...THROW IT OUT and grab another,, i suggest doing a cd scratch test on any towel or mf you buff it with

I noticed that they leave lint as well. I've been spending HOURS on Autopia and reading the 'Guide to Detailing'. All I can say is: information overload. But, good info nonetheless.

The most significant find over there is "Microfiber". It turns out that my wife had a microfiber towel in the kitchen. I just finished using it on everything I hit with NXT (it did attract dust). I don't blame it on the NXT, though, but on my application technique ( I should have wiped immediately after the application).

The Micofiber towel worked great, so I washed the car a bit and dryed it with the Microfiber towel, worked like a chamoise (sp). I now want the 3-pack of Microfiber auto detailing towels for my birthday, along with a K&N and dyno session
