what would you pay for this 94 GT? -

hey guys,
I'm new to stangs, but a good friend of mine has owned a few and will be helping me out..
we took a look at a 94 gt today that has the following:a Cobra RR Hood, Saleen Speedline Wheels 18x9, Eibach Sportline Springs, Tokico Illumina 5-way adjustible shocks/struts, Borla Stainless Steel Catback Exhaust, Bassani X-Pipe w/ catalytic converter, JBA Shorty Headers, Hurst Short Shifter..
has about 60k miles.. body is in decent condition, one spot will need new paint, and the hood doesnt as good as the rest of the car..
thing is, they are asking about 9k, while the max KBB and edmunds value is about 6100.
personally, I dont think the mods warrant a 3k price increase on the car.
I am thinking of offering 7400. do you think this is too low?
thanks for any help!

I would print out the blue book value and then offer him 5k. Even then I think 5k is too much for a 94. You sure it only has 60k miles on it? Why not look for a 91 thru 93. Just remember, there are tons of used Mustangs out there. Don't settle for one that someone else thinks is worth more with mods. Another thing to think about is this: If they have modded it then they might of ran it harder and might of beat it a little. I think the best kind of Mustang you can buy is one that someone a little older has owned and is completely bone stock.
Just my 2 cents.

even though is has all those mods. Dealerships don't care about the mods. only the KBB and what they want for themselves. offer 6 max.
