ROUSH OEA Stampede to Myrtle Beach for "Mustang Week"

The ROUSH Owners and Enthusiasts Association will gallop to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina for the Third Annual "Mustang Week." Event officials say the week is a celebration for all Ford "Mustang and SVT owners, young and old, to get together and enjoy what we all love." According to ROEA President Carol "Ma" Barker, the Mustang Week Staff has graciously made allowances for all ROUSH vehicles to be displayed together, along with an ROEA information booth. "The efforts that Mike Clay, who is both Mustang Week staffer and an ROEA member, have been instrumental in working with the ROEA to make this possible and his efforts are certainly applauded" says Michael Greene, Chair, ROEA Public and Media Relations.

The ROEA is looking to leave a significant "hoof print" at this year's event. The ROEA has specifically received contributions and support for the Mustang Week "Mustang and SVT Vehicle Show" from ROUSH Performance, ROUSH Racing and it's merchandise leg, Team Caliber. Greene added that (the ROEA) is "excited about this year's event, and hopes to bring attention to the organization for owners and enthusiasts of all things powered by ROUSH." The ROEA intends to make a concerted effort with the Mustang Week staff to grow this annual event and draw further support from the ROUSH organization and other large companies whose names are synonymous with the Mustang brand and the Ford Performance Group.

Mustang Week Events commence on Wednesday, July 21st with a "Meet & Greet" at the NASCAR Cafe from 6 to 9pm located behind Broadway at the Beach. The following days events kickoff with a roundup at the Colonial Mall "Hooters" Restaurant parking lot on North Myrtle Beach (10133 North Kings Highway) at 1:30pm. A cruise to the famous "Darlington Drag Way" begins at 3pm for an exciting night of Mustang and Ford-powered racing. The track opens at 5pm if interested parties cannot make the cruise. In between runs from the tree to the traps, "Pro-Dyno" will be onsite at Darlington Dragway with their portable Dyno for owners to discover what kind of giddy-up your vehicle is putting to the wheels.

After a night of smoking tires, give your prized possession some spit and polish for Friday night's big "Cruise-In" back at Colonial Mall North Myrtle beginning at 4pm. This is a FREE event and all Mustang & SVT vehicles are welcome to attend. The Mustang Week website claims this is "the Southeast's largest Mustang & SVT Cruise-In with an estimated 500 plus cars this year!" The crowning event on Saturday, July 24th is the Mustang & SVT vehicle show at the Radisson Myrtle Beach Convention Center. Pre-registration is available via the Mustang Week website. Registration is limited to 300 cars, but plenty of great parking is available for cars that do not make the show field. Onsite registration is from 9-11am followed by judging at 2pm. Award presentations are set to for 4pm.

The ROUSH Owners and Enthusiasts Association is a national organization whose mission is "To preserve and enhance the ownership experience of all vehicles, engines, and parts produced by ROUSH Performance."

Sign-up to Dyno your car at Darlington Dragway by calling Dan at Pro-Dyno at 704-651-3807.
