just sux when.... - 06-30-04, 11:29 AM

I was at the car washing taking car of some bugs and a 2 pieces of paint fly off my front bumper. That just sucks, not what I really said but close enought.

I took it to the local paint shop that sprayed it and he is going to check it out and make sure it is not a problem when he originally sprayed it and then blend it.

But on a positive note I got a cold intake kit for the stang off ebay. Looks good and you can hear it make a cool sucking sound. Far as performancing I wasn't looking for a big gain, because even though it is cold intake the pipe gets warm from the heat from the engine. But it did feel a little bit different, left a killer 1st and 2nd gear Actually longest 2nd gear mark i have left for now. I am gonna be getting new tires in the next week so time for a smoke show.

Planning on going with BF Goodrich G-Force Sport tires. They just came out and I like the specs and the way they look. Tires.com quoted me a price of $480 for all 4.

that sucks about the paint. i actually have a few chips in my paint. some from rocks on the road and one rather large one from some chick who can't park and loves to throw her door open into other vehicles. anyways i picked up some true blue (L2) touch up paint from ford, just haven't gotten around to painting it quite yet.

sounds like you just had yours painted ... hopefully the guy will fix everything up for ya and gettin it lookin good again.

Man I hate people who have no respect for others stuff. My buddy thinks I am crazy when I park my car at work, far away from everyone.

yeah I also have touch up for the many rock chips, my car is a daily driver and I love every minute of it

I have several rock chips too, I guess the only way to keep it looking new is to not drive it

Or just own or work at a paint shop like my buddy does. I can't remember how many times his car has been wrecked (more times by ex girlfiends) or he just need some practice painting. But it works pretty good for me the color he uses matches my bike and I can touch up rock chips or paint certain pieces from some touch up paint he gave me

Anyway got the stang back and you can not see where the paint was missing. They did a killer job and did not charge me. They will get all of my business, they may cost a little more, but they stand behind their work

very nice to know that there are some good places out there like that. i found a long key mark down on the bottom of the door on my car the other day. i don't think i can fix it, looks too deep. i'm gonna end up with a body kit on it hopefully and will just have it painted then.
