Angry Cigarette lighter out of service!!!! - 05-26-05, 10:37 AM
Need help!!! with the Power Point electrical outlet used for any optional electrical accessories located to the right of the shift lever and the cigarette lighter are not working in my '96 Mustang GT.
Checked fuse and connections and everything looks fine. Can not get it to work. Will appreciate any suggestions. Thanks in advance

The fuse is in the power distribution block, under the hood. It will be one of the smaller fuses...physically pull the fuse and inspect it.

yeah my buddies 96 gt has the same problem wtf gremlins perhaps

Founded the problem The 30 amps fuse (dark green color) was pluged in the wrong slot

I was having the same problem. I checked the fuse box under the hood and found that the fuse was fine but it was plug into the wrong slot.
