How to paint fiberglass??

I bought a fiberglass apron and I want to paint it myself. Can anyone tell me the correct steps on how to paint it? It will be painted white w/ blue pearl to match the rest of the car. OR can you direct me to a website that can help me?

Paint it the same as any panel.
I would not go any rougher than 240 grit sandpaper. Other than that, scuff, seal, shoot.

Thanks, I thought that was what I needed to do but I wasnt sure.
