ANy way to clean brakes without harming wheels?? - 06-18-05, 03:23 PM

Since you can see the brakes through my bullitt wheels, i try to keep them clean and new looking.

Over the winter the automatic car wash i went to used this solution that would wash away all the brake dust from the brakes and wheels instantly. My brake hardware all looked sparking new after every trip.

Now that summer is here, i wash my car myself since i can do a better job. However, the brakes are starting to get black from dust and nasty.

I know brake cleaner will do it, but i don't want to pull my wheels off to do this.

Is there anything i can spray that will not harm the clearcoat or painted spokes of the wheels?

Don't know but try going to that car wash and ask someone there what they use to clear the wheels. It's worth a try.
