I own a 2004 V8 auto Mustang GT Convertible 40th anniversary edition crimson red. I have asked the question as to the number of 40th anniversary were built and have been told 5700 of which 4529 were crimson red. Question does any one know how many were GT convertible's were built. Also I had information from Ford Motor that the 300 millioth vehicle off the line November 18th 2003 was a crimson red convertible. My 04 was also built in November 2003 as per the door sticker. My vin number is 1FAFP45X04F154980If I read the vin number correcly 154980 is the production sequence number.
Any information would be appreciated.

I am somewhat surprised that you got any information out of FORD. I tried for two years to get production numbers etc. on my 04 GT Conv. A good source is th eyellow Mustang registry he may be able to help you.
