Thinking about selling my 1996 Cobra.
-67,000 miles
-Runs good
-3 owners
-No accidents
-Recent rear brakes, oil change
-190-200psi compression across all cylinders
-Most paperwork from previous owner available
The car has been babied by me since I got it in January. I drive pretty much like a grandpa most of the time, and only "get on it" every once in a while. 13-15 mpg in town, 25 mpg on the freeway. The car has never seen the track while I've had it.
Mods are as follows:
Bilstein shocks/struts
Steeda Sport Springs
Steeda Tri-ax shifter
Steeda firewall clutch adjuster
Subframe Connectors
King Cobra Clutch
ZEX Dry Kit (on the car but not connected, never used by me. Previous owner also claimed that he did not use it.)
MAC Catted H-pipe
Magnaflow Catback
"Clear" headlights/corner lights
Not installed: nice aftermarket pedals (only the gas pedal has been done)
Disclosure:
The car was nearly perfect until last night, when some a-hole decided to key it. There is a key mark on the rear quarter panel, and on the front fender - both marks are on the passenger side. The one on the quarter panel might be able to be buffed out, but I can't say the same for the fender mark. Still, claiming insurance on these 2 areas will cost you your deductable to repaint. I would still rate the exterior about an 8/10 and the interior a 9/10 (normal wear present, but nothing unusual for the mileage/year of the car).
Also, the car will not come with any stereo system - it was sold to me that way, and I will be taking out the stereo that I put in. I think I may have a CD player headunit and 2 speakers I can throw into the deal.
I am looking to get about $12,500 for the car. I'd also like for this to be a local sale, but if any serious buyer wanted to arrange shipping/payment/etc. I would be open to it.
The reason for the sale is that I have been thinking about selling the car in the past, but changed my mind. However, my new job has a driving component to it, and I will be buying a "beater" car for that (no, I'm not delivering pizzas, haha) so the Cobra will not get much driving time at all in about 2 weeks.
