ok guys no one seems to know anything about doing a 5.4L swap into a 93 4cyl. the 5.4 is out of a 98 or 99 expedition. it is the sohc 2V. i know this swap has been done, but im having trouble finding help from anyone. i know i need a k member, but can i use one out of 4.6 stang or do i need to get an aftermarket tubular k member? what auto tranny can i use? and most important i want to know if they make a carb manifold and what needs to be done if i switch from FI to carb. pleaseeeeeeee help

PM SVT32VDOHC, or go search in 5.0 Talk for "Project 81 Hack Job threads." He just put a complete 01 GT drivetrain into an 81 notch.

This thread is old but I can't tell if you're questions have been answered so I'll try to answer a couple of them for you.

You can use a '96 up k-member I think through '04 or go aftermarket to AJE, PA Racing, or MM.

You can use a 4r70W transmission with a Baumann control box.

Info has already been provided on the intake question for a carb.

You will need an aftermarket hood as I doubt that 5.4 will fit under the stock hood whether FI or carbed.
